My kids are growing too quickly -but I love every minute of it!

I just wanted to take a minute and jot down some things that I don't want to forget.

Below is a list of things Cameron is saying at this point in his little life:

Coo (cool)
wow
Tank ou (Thank you)
Mama (meaning Mommy, Dada, sissy)
Mommy
TV
Uh-oh
Dada
Bye-bye
Hi
no-no
I geh eh (I'll get it)
and he's mentioned Uncle a couple times.

I'm sure there is more that I'm just not thinking of at the moment.
He is growing so quickly and absorbing everything like a sponge. I know everyone says "my kids are so smart" but mine really are! I am not just being bias because they are mine. I work him like I did Sierra, even if he only sits to read for about 1/8 of a page!! We'll get there...
I was starting to think that maybe he was never going to be able to hold interest in something until about two weeks ago when he became very interested in TV. This is his new favorite thing. How can I say no?!
-------------------------------------------------------
I would also like to talk about my daughter, Sierra.
Sierra is turning into such a wonderful young lady. We have our struggles, and we probably always will but she is such an awesome little girl.  She is a beautiful, intelligent young woman who is full of life and love. She helps take care of her baby brother, she gets good grades, she is always volunteering for something at school. She takes care of her classmates by helping when they need it.
She really is growing up. It makes me a little sad when I really think about the overall picture. She is only seven years away from being an adult, four years away from driving (scary!) but I can't think about it that way. I really do have to take it one day at a time.

Two weeks ago Monday (the 15th) Sierra came home and told me that Alex finally asked her out. I knew that she liked/ him, we talked about it just a couple weeks before. I knew the time was coming but why in fifth grade? Why not 11th? Although I don't really want her to wait until 11th grade, that would probably make her feel a little left out. LOL.

Bye-bye fatness!

So I have finally decided that I can't lose all this weight by myself. I signed up for a 'Body Camp Challenge' a couple weeks ago and started a couple days ago.
Monday was a tough day! I had no idea that I was THAT out of shape. I walk and chase Cameron all over the place, I figured I got some exercise but was quickly proven wrong. That is not exercise at all! This Body Camp is going to kick my butt!
Tuesday was even worse! I was sore from Monday and worked even harder on Tuesday. By Wednesday I thought I was going to die. It hurt to even sit to pee. It hurt to walk. It hurt to sit. WHY did I sign up for this again? Oh that's right, because I need to lose this weight!!!!
Today was ok. I wasn't anywhere near as sore! I will keep you up to date....
Tata for now.

Engagements and babies

I should start by saying -Congratulations to Carl and Kim! On Jan. 21, we welcomed Zoey Chesi (pronounced Casey) Stafford to the world! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there in real life, so we did the next best thing. I stayed with them the entire day on iChat!! It was almost like being there but not the same at all. Kim did wonderful, contained her pain really well. I feel like I missed something huge, especially since I still haven't been able to meet her in person but I will soon. She is a beautiful little baby that I wish I could snuggle :) Gotta love the Navy life...

So anyway, Carl proposed to Kim yesterday!! I think it's awesome that she will officially be my sister-in-law soon. I didn't think they needed to rush into it but we're very happy they are getting married. If all goes as planned, they will be married this summer while we are there!
Congrats to you both and may you live a happy life.

I love you.

BUYER BEWARE: ASHLEY FURNITURE AND MONTAGE FURNITURE SERVICES

This is actually a copy of what I filed with BBB but I wanted to post it here so when someone searches for either of these companies, they will hopefully find this!
DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY or ANYONE THAT SELLS MFS WITH THEIR FURNITURE.

I am so tired of getting the run around from Montage and Ashley. Ashley won't stand behind products that they are selling (i.e. Montage and the furniture) and Montage won't honor their plan and the "Customer service" is terrible. I had no idea buying this furniture was going to equal a full time job for myself and my wife. We first started getting water spots a couple of months after delivery. My wife called MFS, they sent a kit out to clean it ourselves. We tried this and the rings only became bigger. She called them to let them know that the kit didn't work and the explained that they had no record that they sent the kit and basically told her she was lying. After a brief argument, they agreed to send someone out to look and clean it. I don't remember the exact dates but it took a few weeks to get someone out here. Okay, fine. The man showed up at almost 8pm to clean our furniture. Who does business in someone elses home at EIGHT PM? We had to refuse him as we were putting our kids to bed. My wife then called MFS again to explain the refusal, they said "Oh, you really shouldn't have done that." They didn't apologize for someone showing up so late, in her opinion, we should have let him clean our furniture that late. They then agreed to send another cleaner out. By the time the next guy came out, it was mid November. When he arrived with a Bissell Little Green machine, we were shocked but I figured if MFS sent him, he must know what he is doing, right?! We asked him very specific questions about how long it would take to dry, was it going to dry hard, etc. Every answer he gave us was wrong. It was supposed to be dry in 4 hours, it took almost 36. It was NOT supposed to dry hard and it did. Not to mention the fact that whatever cleaner he used was so strong that we had to open our doors and windows in the middle of November to get the smell out. After it finally dried, we started to notice spots reappearing, only there were more and more everyday. Again, my wife called Montage and was told "Well, you said it looked great after he was done." Yes, it did look great, when it was soaking wet!!! After going back and forth and back and forth, MFS agreed to send yet another person out to clean it. That man was actually a professional and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. He said that he has NEVER seen microfiber do what ours is doing. He also said that he is thinking that whatever the first guy used may have actually ruined the furniture because it almost looks as though it contained bleach. He cleaned it the best he could but again, once dry, the spots returned. We called MFS back AGAIN and were told that we need to take MORE pictures (we have already done this a couple of times) and email them or send them in. They said they will send someone to clean the pieces once a week before they replace them. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!! I do not have time for this, nor do I want to deal with either company at this point. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY AGAIN. I will also never purchase furniture from ANYONE who deals with Montage. I have called and called, talked to Supervisor after Supervisor, Manager after Manager at both Ashley and Montage, they are all terrible and unfortunately don't have the slightest clue about customer service. We have an appointment with Navy Legal Services on Friday to see what our next step is legally. We will hire an attorney if need be.

I knew I wouldn't do this all the time!

Ok, So I'm not very good at updating this. I will try harder though. Maybe I need to make this my home page so that it is constantly in my face?!

Let's see, what has gone on in past few months? Our life has been a bit chaotic. Since I last posted, in June, we went home (CA) for a visit. We went to Mount Rainier, Mike went to sea :(, Cameron started walking and talking, Sierra started 5th grade, I started my own business with lia sophia, the list goes on...

Just to keep things organized, I should probably do a separate blog for each event... off to get Sierra, more to come later...
